Partnering with HATCH to Power an Electrified, Low-Carbon Future

At Sadoway Labs Foundation (SLF), we’re on a mission to invent deployable solutions for a cleaner world and to mentor the next generation of inventors along the way. That’s why we’re excited to announce a powerful new partnership with HATCH, a global leader in engineering and consulting for the world’s most complex industrial sectors.

This customized collaboration is designed to do what we do best: test bold ideas quickly, build real-world solutions, and train future leaders in sustainable electrochemical innovation.

Together, SLF and Hatch will accelerate the development of next-generation electrochemical technologies solutions that support the electrification of heavy industry while reducing emissions to air, water, and soil. Even more importantly, these innovations are being designed to work at or below the cost of existing legacy systems. That’s key to ensuring global impact at scale.

“Here at Sadoway Labs, we are thrilled to partner with the international engineering and consulting resource Hatch to discover new technologies for an electrified global industry,” says Professor Donald Sadoway, SLF founder. “Our customized collab ensures the fulfillment of our nonprofit mission to research deployable solutions and to mentor future generations of inventors!

By combining SLF’s pioneering expertise in extreme electrochemistry with Hatch’s deep industrial knowledge across mining, metals, energy, and infrastructure, this partnership aims to tackle some of the toughest challenges facing the transition to a low-carbon world.

We're not just focused on making better batteries or greener processes, we’re focused on redefining what's possible at the intersection of science, sustainability, and scalable impact.

Stay tuned as we share more about our joint projects and the people behind the breakthroughs.

– Team SLF
